Apart from traditional skiing, winter hiking and cross-country skiing are great winter experiences. Numerous cross-country skiing trails go straight past the Bavaria.

Blue sky, white snow – the icicles glisten in the sun. Winter has many faces in the Pfronten valley: Whether it’s a magical and romantic winter hike or a horse-drawn sleigh ride, or faster-paced tobogganing, skiing or snowboarding on one of the many slopes of our local mountain, the Breitenberg. Winter holidays in Pfronten are holidays in a winter wonderland.
We cordially invite you to go outside, and accompany you on the exciting family excursions organised by the Happy Club.
Tobogganing fun on the longest natural toboggan run in Germany.
Your face is covered in snow, you’ve ice in your hair and your cheeks are glowing red with excitement – tobogganing in the Allgäu is a real adventure. With the Breitenbergbahn cable car and a short ride on the four-seater chairlift, tobogganing fans young and old conquer the Breitenberg.
Put your skates on and off you go – glide gracefully over the ice at the public skating event. The BAVARIA skating club hits the ice once again.
Suitable for adult and child skaters. We take to the ice playfully and gently; young children are also welcome. ABC ice skating aids are available for fun learning. The motto: “Any child can go ice skating.”
When it gets dark, we set out in torchlight for a guided walk through the mountain forest along the Steinacher Achen.
This river runs in the part of the valley between the Einstein and the Aggenstein. On our way through the enchanted floodplain forest, we listen to exciting stories about a cudgel that lives in a sack and a donkey which spits gold...
Happy got lost when looking for his favourite animal. It’s best if we all set out together and look for him. We will meet at the Happy Club at 7:00 pm. Please dress warmly, as we have a short hike to Happy’s favourite places ahead of us.
Where do you think we’ll find him, at the Achbrücke, at the ski centre or in the forest? Our hike will certainly be exciting and you can be certain that Happy has a “finder’s reward” ready for the search party.
WINTER WALKS
On professionally guided tours (by the spa administration in Pfronten) or on your own, you walk through snow in the magical Pfronten valley. The magical mountain panorama is at your feet.
Whether it is feather-light with snowshoes over untouched fields of deep snow, through silent winter landscapes or on one of the many specially prepared winter hiking trails.
Winter hikes can be combined perfectly with a variety of winter activities. Whether a torch-lit hike or a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride, there is something for everyone.
CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING
Snow-covered meadows and shimmering landscapes make winter in the Allgäu pretty much incomparable.
Around the Breitenberg, several well-maintained cross-country ski trails entice you and go straight past the Familotel Bavaria. The gentle hilly landscape also promises comfortable cross-country skiing for beginners.
